It's time to share another three pieced quilt back designs from my new book, Perfectly Pieced Quilt Backs. We've covered quilt backs with small scraps, and several quilt backs with medium scraps, and today, I'll show you some designs with large or mixed-size scraps.
But first, I have one final design to share that uses medium scraps, and that's the Bar Graph quilt back. This design is great if you have just a few leftover strips. Since the strips are different lengths in this design, it's okay if you have some that aren't a full selvage-to-selvage length.
Quilt Backs Using Large or Mixed-Size Scraps
The Chunky quilt back kicks off the section of designs that use larger chunks of fabric, or several mixed scrap sizes, and it's one of my favorite designs in the book!

Here's another example that's a little different. On this one, I sewed the chunks around a center rectangle to give it more of a large log cabin look-
The final design featured today is the Woven quilt back. I love this design when I have leftover fat quarter strips. This one uses all solids, but it would be just as much fun with prints! Since my scraps were all solids, I chose a subtle rainbow print for the top and bottom of this one, and it adds just enough contrast. The alternating direction of the strip blocks gives this quilt back plenty of movement.
