Welcome to Needle and Thread Thursday, y'all! After the odyssey that was my Rainbow Galaxy quilt, I was so ready to sew something fast and easy, and baby quilts are always perfect for that. We have a new niece, born a few weeks ago, so this one is for her!
This is made with a variation on a traditional Antique Tile block, and I published a little tutorial for it a while back. You can find the block tutorial HERE. This one will be finished up in short order and sent to my niece via my father-in-law, who is taking a trip to visit them soon!
As usual, last week's party was loaded with quilty eye-candy, like this lovely quilt finish by Rita at Quiltpiecer-
And finally, this stunner is by Linda at kokaquilts-
1. You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!
*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop" when selecting your thumbnail photo. For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work! :)
Baby quilts are so satisfying to make, aren't they? I love that it will be delivered by your father-in-law, too. :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new niece. I am sure you will spoil her rotten as all aunts should and what a darling quilt you have whipped up for her. Thank you for hosting the link party. Have a very lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThe baby quilt is awesome! I love the colors you chose. (I’m also a big fan of purple and green.) The features are wonderful! The fan quilt is especially eye-catching.
