I used up all the leftovers on the back, and it always feels great to make a quilt without purchasing fabric. Since I keep a bolt of Kona White at all times, this entire quilt was made from stash!
This one is named Sweet Pea, and it's for our newborn niece. It will be making the trip to Oklahoma with my father-in-law in a couple of weeks when he visits them.
Before we party, let's check out a few highlights from last week! This color gradient stunner was shared by Rebecca Grace Quilting-
1. You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!
*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop" when selecting your thumbnail photo. For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work! :)
I love the way you use up what you have for the backing and binding. I'm sure the quilt is going to be well loved and what a perfect name for it and your new niece. :)
ReplyDeleteI get a thrill out of piecing my backs and using up scraps or stash in the process! Here's a virtual fist bump for using what you had on hand to make something beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the Sweet Pea, Kelly! And that backing!! And binding!!! Great use of your collection!!! Thanks for featuring my Celtic Dreams quilt, too!
