Welcome to Needle and Thread Thursday, friends. My ankle is healed well enough that I started physical therapy this week, but it's been two steps forward and one step back. Over the years of repeated injury, I didn't realize how much my ankle movement and strength had been compromised, and as a result, how much my gait had changed to accommodate this. Well, therapy is improving that, but it is kicking my behind in the process. It sounds weird to say that I can feel that my ankle is starting to move more freely, and yet the exercises that are helping overall are making my ankle more sore in the meantime. So, no sewing for me this week.
Instead, take a look at some of my favorite projects linked up last week. Sandra at mmm quilts shared this simple, but beautiful quilt-
This cute farmer applique quilt is by Melva Loves Scraps.
And finally, these little improv blocks by
Anorina at Samelia's Mum look awesome. I can't wait to see what they become!
Before we party, there is some business to take care of. In July, Blogger will stop the Feedburner service, which means that if you're currently receiving my posts via email, that will stop at that time. BOO! I'm really disappointed that they're doing this, but we just have to roll with it. Instead, please continue to follow me through another platform. I recommend
Bloglovin',
facebook, or
Instagram. Thanks for your continued support, friends!
Okay, let's get this party started, y'all!
1. You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!
*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop" when selecting your thumbnail photo. For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work! :)
Here's hoping you are back at your machine soon, Kelly!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is in physical therapy following a motorcycle accident, so I am totally sympathetic to the effects of PT. I hope you turn to the corner soon!

ReplyDeleteI hope you're back to good and able to be sewing soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shout-out and linky opportunity. I just love the cyber quilting community.
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you for the feature of my quilt. I gave it to her yesterday and she was a bit overwhelmed, got goosebumps awww. I hope your foot gets better soon. I imagine there is a TON of scar tissue to work through too from what you’ve said. :-(
ReplyDeleteJust about the time you think Hurray! there is some other rock in the road. Will probably follow you on Facebook but good to know there are options. All of the great things everyone is making is inspirational. Thank you
