Booking 2022 and NTT

Happy Needle and Thread Thursday, friends!  I feel like we can finally see light at the end of this pandemic tunnel and it feels so wonderful.  During this whole thing, rather than try to modify my classes to a virtual format, I decided to just hold out and wait for an in-person experience.

My teaching style is very hands-on with lots of individual attention, and the nature of improv piecing is non-linear, and neither of those things lend themselves to a virtual format.  Though that meant that my teaching ground to a halt, I just didn't want to compromise on that.  Now that things are getting back to normal, over the last several days I've been touching base with guilds to get things rescheduled.  2022 is starting to fill up!

If your guild is getting ready for face-to-face workshops in 2022, send me an email for more information (button on the right sidebar).  I promise you'll walk away with new techniques to help you put a dent in those scraps, and most of all, I know you'll have FUN!

So without further ado, let's get right to the highlights from last week.  Brenda at Songbird Designs linked up this colorful quilt-

Nancy at Grace and Peace Quilting shared this beautiful client quilt-

Maggie at Making a Lather showed off this lovely quilt top-

I love this beautiful quilt by Jayne at Twiggy and Opal.

And finally, this gorgeous scrappy quilt top is by Sew Yummy!

On a more personal note, I had a follow-up on my ankle, and I am happy to report that I no longer have to wear the boot!  Instead, I am in a rigid brace, which is much more comfy.  I still have to stay off of it as much as possible though.  In fact, staying off of it was one condition of the doctor letting me forego the boot.

Okay, y'all, let's do this!

1You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!

*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop"  when selecting your thumbnail photo.  For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work!  :)

  1. Best wishes with scheduling in 2022! Thank you for featuring the Grassy Creek quilt I quilted last week!!!

  2. It does feel like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel...finally! There really isn't anything better than in person and hands on. Virtual is great for a limited time, but human contact beats it all!

  3. Thanks for sharing these lovely quilts, Kelly! Best of luck with balancing home and away time as you fill your 2022 calendar.

    1. So happy to hear you are out of that boot. Praying you continue to heal...and quickly! My grandson just got out of a cast yesterday and into a boot and brace for a couple of weeks. I know it's hard to be immobile, but don't re-injure it!! Thanks for the feature, Kelly!

  5. It's good to know you're out of your boot and into something a bit more comfortable. But be sure to listen to the doc! I can't imagine how difficult it would be to stay off my feet. I've never had to do that before. Also, I know what you mean about refusing to teach virtually. My workshops are similar; I need to see what the student is doing so as to provide quality feedback. I'm looking forward to teaching again. It's so fun to interact with quilters.

  6. Wonderful eye candy... thanks. (I have no idea why my photo thumbnail doesn't show up. I couldn't delete and start again so I'll be a bit anonymous this week.

Thanks so much for your comment and for visiting! I read and appreciate every single comment, and I reply to each one as soon as I can. If you don't hear back from me, you might be a no-reply blogger. :)
