Naked House and Final NTT of 2020

Happy (almost) New Year, and welcome to NTT, friends.  I hope those of you who celebrate Christmas had a wonderful holiday, even if it did look a bit different this year.  Our family definitely did.  And now that it's over, I've spent the last couple of days reclaiming my house from the holiday madness.

I know, I know.  Technically the Christmas season lasts until January 6th, but since I put out my decorations around Thanksgiving (or before), I'm always ready for everything to be put away before the new year.  I'm just a rebel like that.  ;)  Since my house is crammed with so much Christmas decor, when it's all put away, everything feels a little bit naked.  It always takes a couple of days to reacquaint myself with the extra space in the rooms where Christmas trees once stood and all the open counter space in my kitchen.  It's pleasantly less cluttered in its regular state, but still takes some visual adjustment.

The last time we met for NTT was two weeks ago, and there were some amazing things linked up.  This stunner is by Jayne at Twiggy and Opal-

Cynthia at Quilting is More Fun Than Housework shared this scrappy blue quilt.  I love the movement in the geese!

Quiltpiecer showed off this lovely blue and yellow quilt-

Take a look at this cheerful quilt by Anja Quilts-

And finally, this amazing lion quilt is by Nancy at Grace and Peace Quilting.  Just WOW.

Okay friends!  Now that the holidays are behind us, I'm looking forward to lots of time in my studio.  I already have a few different projects in mind, and I can't wait to get cracking on them.  I can't wait to see what you've been up to this week.  So, let's kick 2020 out the door with one final NTT.

1You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!

*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop"  when selecting your thumbnail photo.  For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work!  :)

  1. Nice start to the new year with a less cluttered home, Kelly! Thank you for featuring my lion quilt! I'm glad I finally made it this year. Happy new year!!!

  2. I actually loving taking down my tree and decorations maybe even more than putting them up! Thank you for sharing my quilt on the final 2020 NTT! Thanks for letting all of us share our creations through your blog and Happy New Year to you and your family!!

  3. We put our tree up later in December and take it down later in January. Actually we move the tree (sans decorations) out onto our deck where it stays for the duration of winter. Happy New Year to you!

  4. Happy New Year Kelly! Thanks for featuring my scrap quilt with all those lovely quilts. Wish you the very best in the new year.

  5. We used to leave our decorations up until Epiphany but recently we've removed all the indoor decorations before that. So far we've brought out our snowmen to replace the Santas. Early next week we'll take down the tree.

  6. I'm running late on blog-reading lately, but it's great to see these featured quilts. That Twiggy&Opal is a talented maker, isn't she? Funnily, no decorations needed to be taken down at our house because they didn't go up in the first place. No family was here, so there was no need to decorate. But we ate very well, visited with family on Facetime, and enjoyed card playing... you know, the things you do when you're stuck at home during a pandemic. Happy 2021!

  7. Wow...that lion is amazing. Happy New Year.

Thanks so much for your comment and for visiting! I read and appreciate every single comment, and I reply to each one as soon as I can. If you don't hear back from me, you might be a no-reply blogger. :)
