On Saturday, we welcomed a brand new member of our family. He is an 11 week old Boxer puppy, and we have named him Finn. Let me tell you, it doesn't take long to fall in love with a puppy, and after losing our last Boxer last year, it took awhile, but we were finally ready for another one. But, goodness! At this age, they are so. much. work. Between chewing and housebreaking, we have to have eyes on him every second. He is a smart little guy and learns quickly, and I know it will all be worth it, but I really am looking forward to getting back into my studio.
I have this stack of beauties pulled and all ready for my next project... if I could just get to it! :) Until then, I'll have to sneak inspiration from all of your awesome links. Sophie at Luna Lovequilts linked up this gorgeous quilt last week-
Vasudha at Storied Quilts shared this pretty, wavy quilt-
And Susan at Quilt Fabrication showed off this fun, Halloween inspired quilt. So fun!
Thanks for keeping me in the quilting loop while I have to be away from my sewing machine friends. I can't wait to see what you have going on this week!
1. You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!
*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop" when selecting your thumbnail photo. For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work! :)
Hopefully, you be off puppy duty soon enough. Have fun with that new project! We'll be waiting to see what it becomes.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric. Good luck with Finn!
ReplyDeleteOMG! How could you not be in love with that puppy? Finn is adorable. I don't envy your situation with a new puppy. They are a lot of work in the beginning, but like you said so worth it. He's your new partner in crime...quilting!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your puppy. He's so cute. Love the fabric pull. Hope you can get to it soon.
ReplyDeleteWe lost our beloved dog on August 31, and I am far from being over missing him. We will never replace him. But I'm glad for you to have this new puppy, running your life! :-) I have no doubt he's a lot of work, but in return gives you much joy. Your fabric pull is a lovely rainbow of yummy prints. Hope you get to your sewing room soon!
ReplyDeleteI've been gone from the blogging world for quite some time but there's nothing that says "welcome back" like the adorable photo of a boxer puppy! Good luck with all the puppy training.
