Rain, Rain Go Away

Happy NTT, friends!  I've finished up my latest quilt, but I love it so much that I can't bear to share it with icky indoor photos.  This quilt deserves some sunshine, and luckily it looks like the weather for the next few days will oblige.  So for now, you just get a little sneak peek!

Why yes, that IS wood grain quilting!  And yes, I absolutely love it.  Be on the lookout for the full reveal very soon.

Before we get to last week's highlights, I owe you two winners from my January sponsor post.  The winner of the cute wool appliqué mug rug kit from Shabby Fabrics is Susan, comment number 31.  The winner of the cute heron scissors from Fort Worth Fabric Studio is Nikki, comment number 33.  Congrats you two.  I'll be emailing you soon so you can get your prizes.

Last week, y'all partied while I was teaching in Houston, and I loved looking through all of the eye-candy while sitting in the airport.  By the way, I posted a few photos from my class on Instagram and Facebook, so be sure to check them out.  I'm My Quilt Infatuation on both platforms.

Speaking of teaching, I only have ONE open month in 2018, and that's April!  So, if your guild is looking for a fun, unique workshop where you can bust through some serious scraps, contact me ASAP to reserve your spot!

At last week's party, Jayne at Twiggy and Opal shared this fun, scrappy Drunkard's Path scrapbuster.

Cynthia at Quilting is More Fun Than Housework linked up this rainbow postage stamp beauty.  What a stunner!

Karen at Karen's Quilting shared her finished Good Fortune Quilt top.  I love how the warm and cool colors play in this quilt-

And Alison at Little Bunny Quilts showed off this Blocked Rainbow quilt.  Those colors just sing against that black background!

Okay, y'all!  Time to show me what you've got this week.  Let's link up!

1You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!

*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop"  when selecting your thumbnail photo.  For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work!  :)

  2. my quilt wasn't finished but thanks for the share - I have gotten all the borders on now that the instructions covered for it and will be going queen size though and adding more to it! Maybe there will be a real finish in a couple weeks - keep your fingers crossed.

  3. You are the second person this week that I have seen using the wood grain...I need to make up some practice sandwiches and give it a go, it is such a nice pattern to use.

  5. Oh I love your newest quilt, all of those pretty green fabrics. Rain, rain and more rain is here in Alabama as well. I have had to photograph indoors as well. Looking forward to some sunny outdoors weather.

Your quilt is amazing, even without the full reveal photos! Some quilts are worth waiting for the weather to cooperate! The quilting is so cool, love the flow of the wood grain!

  15. We've been having rain as well. And it looks like it's coming again in a few days. But the bonus is...no more snow. ☺
