Welcome to Needle and Thread Thursday, y'all. This week, I've been methodically working through my scrap jars and have made really good progress.
Keep in mind that these scraps are the remainder after finishing my Fractured Logs quilt, which used up a LOT (on the front and back). Even so, I'm a little surprised at how few scraps were really left, especially the yellows. I'm still not exactly sure what I'll do with them yet, but that's a question for another day.
On another note, my Land Ahoy trip to San Diego with Stitichin' Heaven is coming up in just a few short weeks! This is the trip where I'll be teaching my Starfire quilt, along with another teacher who will be teaching a beautiful quilt called Riptides.
If you're wondering, a Land Ahoy trip operates exactly like a cruise, but instead of boarding a cruise ship, the entire event happens at a fancy hotel in a destination city. There is even an excursion day built into the itinerary.
There are just a few spots left for this amazing experience, so come spend the week with me! You can find more information and register HERE.
Alrighty! Let's get to a few highlights from last week's party. You know, I say it every week, but y'all really amaze me. These scrappy rose blocks are from Melisa at Pinker n Punkin Quilting and Stitching-
This fun finish is from Viridian's Blog-
Rebecca Grace Quilting showed off these stunning finished blocks, and I can't wait to see them sewn up into a quilt!
This pretty one is from Maggie at Making a Lather-
Okay, friends. Let's see that eye-candy!
1. You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!
*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop" when selecting your thumbnail photo. For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work! :)

Sandra's quilt is an absolutely stunner, isn't it? It is fun to see your scraps coming together again and I always find it interesting to see what colors seem to accumulate.
ReplyDeleteBoy you are making a lot of great blocks!! Love seeing them all. Have fun with your Land Ahoy - that sounds like a great time!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric scrap chunks. They are so pretty and springy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feature -- and for the encouragement! That Land Cruise retreat thing sounds like fun, but you need to have another one on the EAST coast!
ReplyDeleteYour scrap blocks look great.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look amazing, Kelly! So colorful and cheerful . Thank you so much for including my humble quilt in your feature this week. You really made my day. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelly for featuring my Jasper quilt and for the super-kind comment on it. It’s going to my cousin whose home was burned to the ground in the Jasper fires last summer.
