Happy Needle and Thread Thursday, friends. It's been a whirlwind two weeks. We have a high school graduate! I'm going to brag a little bit and include that he graduated summa cum laude with a final cumulative high school GPA of 4.34. He has worked so hard with several Honors, AP, and Dual Enrollment (college) classes. He will technically enter college as a sophomore, and we couldn't be prouder of him. His academic achievement is great, but the kind, compassionate, hardworking young man he has grown up to become is even better.
Okay, y'all! I hope you've had lots going on in your sewing studio! We'll party in a little bit, but first, take a look at some of the eye-candy linked up at our last party. Rita at Quiltpiecer shared this pretty quilt-
Okie dokie, friends! Let's do this!
1. You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!
*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop" when selecting your thumbnail photo. For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work! :)
Congratulations to your son and what a beautiful sunset to cap off a much deserved vacation. And happy blog-iversary; so glad you started this online journey!
ReplyDeletecongratulations to your son and you and your husband for putting him on a good path in education. Looks like a great vacation.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son, Kelly! I love that beautiful family photo and your short haircut is so cute on you! Hey, can you do me a favor and delete my link with the dreaded question mark photo? That's what I get for trying to link up from my phone without my glasses on at 2 AM after finishing a customer quilt... If you delete my boo boo then Linky should let me redo it with an actual photo thumbnail. If not, no worries. Have an amazing day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your family. Such beautiful photos!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, congrats on your son's graduation. It sounds like it was a wonderful trip! And CONGRATULATIONS on 10 years! When I read that, I looked at my blog and it seems that I missed my anniversary by over a year....oh well, I can celebrate next year. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely time for all of you! You can rightly be proud of your son. He'll, no doubt, do as well in college. That's a great photo of the three of you, though you look different - shorter hair - than in your blog profile picture. Congratulations on ten years of blogging! That is indeed a milestone in this era of more rapid (than blogging) social media options. Personally, I don't plan to quit blogging until I die. :-) Revel in your happy life. It's all great!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! that does sound like such a whirlwind - but holee cow! Congrats to your son - what great accomplishments!!! and the Sunset photo!! Frame worthy - that is beautiful!! Glad you had such a great time and were able to celebrate!!
