NTT- Tinkering

Welcome to Needle and Thread Thursday, y'all!  Don't forget that the blog hop celebrating the release of my new book, Scrappy Improv Quilting is happening right now.  If you missed the posts from this week, you can see them HERE and HERE.

Other than lots of social media stuff (because three blog posts plus four IG posts in a week is a LOT for me), I've been spending quite a bit of time in my studio working with the fabrics that I teased last week. I finished up this fun quilt top.

I really love this color palette.  The jewel tones are deep and rich, but the addition of the coral and aqua keep the quilt from being too dark.  And even though the pattern is simple, it has a lot of movement.   I'm calling this quilt Tinkering, because the block shape reminds me of old-school Tinker Toys (pattern coming!).

At last week's party, Rita at Quiltpiecer shared this beautiful quilt.  There's something so classic about red and white quilts!

I love this cheerful quilt top by DonnaleeQ-

And Sandra Healy Designs shared a cute Halloween table runner-

Okay, friends!  Let's get our party going!

And remember that NTT will be posted on Thursdays, instead of Wednesday evenings for the duration of my Scrappy Improv Quilting blog tour!

1You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!

2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
    post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!

*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop"  when selecting your thumbnail photo.  For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work!  :)

  5. Your Tinkering design is really attractive, especially so because of the unusual color combination. That aqua-teal is such a different color alongside coral. I really like it! Sorry for all the time you have to spend on social media. I remember way back when we were told that technology would make our lives easier - simpler. Ha!
