Happy Needle and Thread Thursday, y'all! This week has been spent at the computer rather than the sewing machine. I'm entering the home stretch of preparing my manuscript to be sent off to my publisher, which is happening within the next couple of weeks. I also took a few days to add cover photos to the final two patterns that I've been sitting on for awhile. The first one is my Rock Candy pattern-
Though the quilt was finished just a couple of weeks ago, the pattern was actually designed and partially written over two years ago, and I'm glad it's not hidden away any longer. This pattern has an elegant feel, and I think it's perfect for larger-scale prints. The interlocking tile and flower shapes are really unique, and though this one looks tough, it really isn't. This one just requires basic, straight piecing techniques as well.
Each pattern is written for lap, twin, and queen sizes, and as with all of my patterns full-color illustrations and detailed instructions are provided for each step. Cutting diagrams are included as well. You can find these two patterns in my Etsy shop HERE, and I hope you'll take a look!
Last week's party was fantastic (as always). Just look at this stunner by Kris at Sew Sunshine- (ps- there are a few others in her post that you definitely don't want to miss)!
Rita at Quiltpiecer shared this fun Halloween quilt. So cute! The weather has turned a little cooler here and I'm so happy Fall is on its way.
Y'all are amazing, friends! I can't wait to see what you're working on this week. I'll be at my computer a lot until I get my manuscript (and quilts) sent off, so I'll have to live vicariously through the pretty projects you're creating instead. Let's party!
They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the patterns and the manuscript! It's no easy task sitting at the computer writing patterns...at least for me! Hopefully you can end it with some sewing time as the 'cherry on top'reward!
ReplyDeleteYour new patterns are delightful! I especially like the illusion of curves without having to sew them.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on the sale of your two newest patterns, Kelly. Both are so unique and SEW gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for mentioning my Halloween quilt. I am honored. Your patterns are wonderful and you are so talented. I enjoy reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting the two patterns released and being almost finished with the book!
ReplyDeleteAwesome releasing two pattern released this week AND working on your manuscript! How exciting! Both quilts are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting to be writing a book! I KNOW how much work it is, and how you're feeling so ready to be finished. Enjoy wrapping it up!
