An Eventful Weekend and NTT

Hello there, my friends!  Welcome to another Needle and Thread Thursday.  This has been a super busy, but awesome week for us.  Centenary College, where my husband and I met way back in 1995, is celebrating its bicentennial this year, and last weekend we traveled to participate in an alumni event for Homecoming weekend.  It was so much fun!  We got to get all dressed up, catch up with friends we hadn't seen in years, and sing some of our favorite pieces in the alumni portion of the choir concert.

ps- if you're looking for me, I'm a little to the left of center, about halfway up (next to the lady in the green dress).  Since my hubby is 6' 6", he is always easy to find on the back row (on the right side).

We had alumni parties on Friday night, rehearsal on Saturday morning, the concert Saturday night, and then drove home Sunday, so it was a quick turnaround, but definitely worth it.

If you can believe it, this week I'm starting to pull out Christmas stuff.  Life with a puppy is never dull, and my plan is to put up trees (I will have six this year), light them, and leave them up without ornaments for a week or two.  That way I can hopefully teach Tucker to leave them alone before they are covered in breakable ornaments.

So, let's get to the highlights from last week's party.  I love this one from Linda at kokaquilts-

And this beauty from Yvonne at Quilting Jetgirl-

Sandra from mmm quilts showed off this lovely quilt-

And finally, this quilt shared by Gretchen's Little Corner is so pretty-

Okay, friends.  You know what to do!

1You can link finished projects or WIP's , but just keep it about quilting and sewing!
2. Link to your specific post (not to your home page!) to make it easier for others.
3. Please remember to spread the word and post my button or a text link within your
    post.
4. Spread the comment love far and wide!
5. Following me is not a requirement to link, but is so very appreciated!

*If you're new to the party, here's a helpful tip for linking up- select "Auto Crop"  when selecting your thumbnail photo.  For some reason, trying to crop your own image results in the dreaded "white question mark box," and we definitely want to see your awesome work!  :)

Happy NTT!

Hey there, my friends!  Welcome to Needle and Thread Thursday!  This month has been all about travel and doctor's appointments.  It seems that all of my annual appointments fall in the month of October, and that makes life hectic.  Add in a trip to Louisiana last weekend to visit my family, and then another this coming weekend for an alumni event, and life has been moving pretty fast.

Oh, and how could I forget our latest puppy drama.  Tucker has injured his knee, and we're concerned that he may have partially torn his ACL.  Even if it were completely ruptured, we would have to wait until he is fully grown for surgery, but right now he is doing okay with anti-inflammatory meds.  We don't think it's completely torn because he is bearing weight on it, and doesn't even limp when on the meds. But, that is making it harder to keep him from injuring it further.  Do you know how hard it is to discourage a six month old puppy from getting the zoomies?  I tell you, it's a revolving door of excitement (both good and bad) around here.

Anyway, I'm excited to show you some of the fantastic things linked up at our last party, which was a couple of weeks ago.  This quilt from Rebecca Grace Quilting is an absolute stunner!  I have always loved this pattern, and her quilting is just amazing!

This cheerful baby quilt is from Julie's Quilts and Costumes-

This lovely quilt is from Sew Preeti Quilts-

And finally, if you want to see a whole parade of quilty eye-candy, check out these seven (yes, SEVEN!) quilts shared by Nancy at Grace and Peace Quilting-

Okay, y'all.  Let's get our party started!

Needle and Thread Thursday

Hey there and happy October, friends!  I've been doing lots and lots of designing for the past couple of weeks, in fact, I sort of went down a rabbit hole and have lots of new designs to sew once I get back into my sewing room. Alas, that hasn't happened just yet.  So instead, let's take a look at some of my favorite projects linked up at our last party.

I am in love with this scrappy pineapple top from Time 4 Stitchin'.  The scraps just sing against the black background-

Deb at A Scrappy Quilter linked up this pretty quilt top-

And Anne-Marie at Stories From the Sewing Room showed off several quilts in her post, but the quilting on this one is just so beautiful!

Okay, y'all!  It's time to get our party on.  Let's do it!
